Memorial Weekend- Opening Day Picnic Join us for the official opening of the pool on Saturday of the Memorial Day weekend. Come early to pick up your membership information packet and to sign up for lessons, teams, and activities. Make plans to enjoy our traditional opening day picnic and get the season off to a great start! *click here for this year’s picnic information and order form Lessons Program Each summer HVSC offers a variety of lessons at very reasonable rates. The lessons are for two week sessions, from Tuesday through Friday. In the pool, we offer swim lessons for all abilities from beginner to advanced. Times are coordinated so participants can be involved in a variety of lessons and programs. Trampoline lessons are highly encouraged for children at the club who will be using the trampolines. Instructors emphasize safety and teach the beginning skills to make the trampolines fun and safe. Diving lessons are also offered for those who want to learn proper technique and basic dives. For adults, we offer a water aerobics class that is a great way to meet others, move to the music, and have fun while getting in shape! Sign-up for all lessons can be done in advance, on opening day, and at the front desk thereafter. *click here for more information on lessons Swim and Dive Team If you don’t already know, Huron Valley has one of the best teams around. The team is open to swimmers and divers age 17 and younger. No experience necessary and you will soon find out what makes the HVSC team so special. We have excellent coaches with experience and enthusiasm, lots and lots of kids on the team that will probably end up being some of your best friends, and parents who volunteer to help out and make the program a huge success. Dual meets for diving are held on Friday nights and swim meets are on Saturday mornings. Now, it is easier and more convenient than ever before to fit tennis into your schedule. The tennis pro is one of the best around and has made the lessons and team a great place to learn, play, and compete in tennis. No experience necessary, we’ll teach you the basics. We have several adult programs and even some social events for the adults. Private lessons are also available. Grab a racket and head for the courts and enjoy some great exercise at our beautiful facility! *click here for this year’s tennis schedule and information Morning Lap Swim What better way to start the day than with a refreshing and energizing swim. No need to sign up, just come out and enjoy the lane pool Tuesday through Friday from 7am-9am and on the weekends 8am-9am. There will be no morning lap swim on the days of home swim meets or the 4th of July. Please check the calendar for specific dates. Adult Parties Be sure to mark your calendar for an evening of fun with your friends. These low key, casual events, are a great way to meet other adult members, share some great snacks and refreshments, and have the pools to yourselves (without the kids!) The summer is too short not to take advantage of an evening poolside, under the stars. (It sure beats shoveling snow!) Check out the calendar for specific dates and times. Senior Brunch Welcome all senior members to a potluck brunch. You are invited to catch up with your friends and enjoy a great meal on the beautiful patio. There are three senior brunches throughout the summer and they really are a lot of fun. Check the club calendar and make a note to be there! Movie/Late Night Swim Huron Valley is pleased to offer family movie night/late swim. Enjoy a movie on the patio with popcorn and your friends or go for a swim with the pool lights on! A lot of fun for the entire family. Check the club calendar for dates and show times. 4th of July Celebration No need to go out of town for the 4th- we have your Independence Day celebration right here at HVSC. Activities begin at 1pm and include, egg toss, relay races, pie eating contest, face painting, coin dive, and much, much more! Pack your picnic basket and fire up the grill! It’s a super way to spend the entire day!! Middle School Party Always a highlight of the season for some of our younger members. Fun!, Food!, Music!, Dancing!. Sign up at the front desk for a great time. The party is for ages 11-13 or going into 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. Craft Day on the Patio Back by popular demand, we offer craft day for the kids on Thursdays at 1pm. Different art projects and crafts are offered each week for a minimal charge.
